A field with birds flying in the sky

Description automatically generated

It was not that long ago that I was sitting in this chair.

Thanking You for all Your blessings and being in Your loving care.

I thanked You for everything on land and all that is in the skies.

I thanked You for the amazing beauty You brought into my eyes.

I thanked You for the health of those in my family.

I thanked You for the job I love, and for my amazing team.

There was so much to be thankful for, and that was only what I could see.

I knew You were doing so much more that was still hidden from me.

My life was filled with ups and downs all throughout my past.

One thing that I truly knew is this easiness would not last.

I spent much time in gratitude and asked for the calmness not to end.

But also knowing the end would come – just not sure how or when.

Thoughts:

When we find ourselves in times of peace and calm, we can sometimes miss the many blessings from God.  From the beautiful sky to the changing of the leaves, to seeing birds fly or animals scurry.  From the unexpected call from a dear friend, to spending quality time with those you love.  We can sometimes forget to thank God for all of this.  He asks us to pray always – not just in the hard times, not just in the desperate times, but to always pray.  He wants a relationship with us.  He wants to bless us abundantly.  While He never says it will always be easy, it is up to us to thank Him for the times that are easy.

Invitation:

Where do you find yourself today?

If you happen to be in a time of ease, take a few moments to think through the many blessings God has bestowed upon you.  Thank God for His many gifts and blessings.  By taking this time today, you will be able to see God a little easier throughout today.  The more you do this, the easier it will be.

Encourage someone you love to do the same.
