Summary
In February 2015, everything changed in an instant. One moment, I had a healthy, loving husband who embraced his role as stay-at-home dad for our three children. The next moment, I was dealing with a shocking reality: Paul was on life support and the doctors did not think he would make it through the next hour – much less the night.
I learned Paul was suffering from toxic shock syndrome and hung precariously between life and death while I helplessly watched. As family arrived for what we believed would be our last moments together with Paul, I realized I had a choice to make: either focus on the dire prognosis or focus on God and pray for Him to heal my husband. I fixed my eyes on God and engaged our community to pray. And, what happened next was nothing short of an everyday miracle.
In this moving story, I share how I prayed God would save Paul from almost certain death and, in the process, illustrate to others that He is always there, no matter how difficult the circumstances.
